sustainabilitism part 1

“One half of the world’s population, approximately 3 billion people on six continents, lives or works in buildings
constructed of earth”. Today, we witness applying the new various materials in constructional works. So, earthen
buildings will be replaced with new structures and materials.
When Vitruvius suggested his triangle (form, function and structure), he had an outlook on the architecture free
from local characteristics. It seems that, lack of attention to the time and place differences stems from the past
and the “Vitruvius triangle” should be changed into “Vitruvius Pyramid” (form, function, structure and culture) so;
Form and Function follow each other through Culture.
Here we study impacts of using industrial brick in Iran as the most important materials in last century in
Marginalization, Displacement, Urban development, Education.
1) What is the Vitruvius pyramid?
2) How we can find out the sustainability of the sustainable strategies?
3) What is the relation between “conceptions” and “evidences” in sustainable strategies in architecture?
4) What is the relation between sustainable strategy in architecture and sustainable development strategy in
macro country points of view?
5) Are the strategies of sustainable architecture global or local?
6) Whether we should “global thinking” and “local practicing”?

think big

The problem with being sure that God is on your side is that you can't
change your mind, because God sure isn't going to change His. -Roger Ebert,

weightlessness

Lou Reed
Transformer (1972)
I’m So Free
Yes I am a nature’s son and I’m the only one
I do what I want and I want what I see
You know it happens to me
I’m so free, I’m so free
Oh please ain’t your man
I have come this way
Do you remember the shape I was in
I had horns that bent
I’m so free, I’m so free
Do you remember the silver walks
You used to shiver and I used to talk
Then we went down to Time’s Square
And in the center been hangin round there
I’m so free, I’m so free
Yes I am mother nature’s son and I’m the only one
I do what I want and I want what I see
Could only happens to me
I’m so free, I’m so free
Oh, I’m so free oh, I’m so free oh, I’m so free
In the morining I’m so free
In the evening I’m so free
Yeah yeah yeah I’m so free
When I feel good I’m so free
When it’s in the morining I’m so free
When it’s in the evening I’m so free
I’m so free, I’m so free, I’m so free, I’m so free
Feels so good now, I’m so free, oh, I’m so free
Feels so good now, I’m so free, oh, I’m so free, ......
